Amrit Bharat Station Scheme 2024

Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi gave a gift to the people of India through a video conferencing on 26 February 2024. PM addressed the entire India through video conferencing. In which he launched a scheme named Amrit Bharat Station Scheme 2024. Under this scheme, he is going to lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of more than 554 railway stations.

Under this scheme, Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of about 1585 newly constructed roadways and new construction of RUV/LHS in India. Many different stations under the East Central Railway will be developed under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, many changes will be made at these new stations keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. Along with this, newly constructed roads, over bridges, obstruction-free and safe road traffic will also be provided.

The security of passengers’ luggage will also be increased at these stations. Under this scheme, development work will be done in many areas like station building, foot over bridge, platform, circulating area, beautification, parking, concourse, lighting system, entry and exit points, water system, disabled facility, announcement system, cleanliness, etc.

What is the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme?

This scheme has been launched by the Railway Board of India. Under this scheme, reconstruction and foundation stone laying of more than 1000 stations is going to be done. Which will help in India’s vehicle development.

On 26 February 2024, Narendra Modi flagged off the reconstruction and foundation stone of 554 stations through video conferencing.The Government of India will spend more than Rs 41000 crore for this Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Under this scheme, construction works of railway stations, bridges, road underpasses, traffic, etc. will be done.

Under this scheme, 1500 roads over bridges and underpasses will be built across India. Which will cost approximately Rs 21520 Crore to build.

The reconstruction of the stations under this scheme will be done in a modern manner. The railway renovation work to be done under this scheme will be completed within 2 years.

The Railway Board is trying to improve and modernize all aspects of Indian Railways through this Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. So that common citizens can also get the benefit of these better and modern facilities of Indian Railways.

The objective of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme:

Under this scheme, more than 1000 small and big stations in India will be rebuilt in a modern manner. • An adequate number of clean toilets will be constructed.
• Not only this, 5G will be available at the convenience of the passengers. The network will be made available free of cost.
• Proper arrangements for footpaths, parking, and lighting will also be made for the passengers.

1. Projects of Danapur Railway Division

The foundation stone of development works will be laid under the Danapur Railway Division Project, in which the cost is said to be Rs 171 crore. 2. Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Division Project
