Daughters born on or after August 15, 1997 can avail the benefit of Balika Samridhi Yojana 2024. Under BSY, financial assistance will be provided by the government after the birth of a girl child and after completion of her studies. Through this financial assistance, efforts will be made to improve the negative thinking of people towards daughters in the country.

The scheme will be taken forward by providing financial assistance of ₹ 500 on the birth of a daughter. After this, till the daughter reaches tenth class, she will be provided a fixed amount of assistance from the government every year. This financial assistance amount is being provided to promote the education of daughters and run it smoothly. This amount will be sent to the daughter’s bank till she completes 18 years, which she can withdraw after she completes 18 years. To avail the benefits of this scheme it is necessary to apply. The objective of Balika Samridhi Yojana Scheme

The main objective of launching Balika Samriddhi Yojana by the Government of India. The education of the girl child has to run smoothly by providing incentives from her birth till the completion of her education. And the negative thinking about girls in the country also has to be ended. Along with this, the objective of this scheme is also to encourage girls for education and to make them self-reliant and empowered. With this, the elements having negative thinking towards girls can be reduced.

Benefits and features of Balika Samriddhi Yojana

Under Balika Samridhi Yojana Scheme, financial assistance will be provided by the government on the birth of a daughter in a family and on completion of her studies.
Only daughters living below the poverty line can avail the benefits of Balika Samridhi Yojana 2024.
Through this scheme, the thinking of those who have negative thoughts towards daughters will improve.
If a daughter is born in your house, the government will provide financial assistance of ₹ 500.
A fixed amount will be provided every year till the daughter reaches class 10th. The amount of this scholarship will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary.
She can withdraw the amount provided by the government after she completes 18 years.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, the daughter should be born on or after August 15, 1997.

Terms and conditions for availing the benefits of Balika Samriddhi Yojana

The benefit of Balika Samriddhi Yojana will be given only to unmarried girls.
Girls can also use the scholarship amount to buy textbooks and uniforms.
To avail of the benefit of this scheme, the girl will have to submit her certificate through which it will be proved that the girl is unmarried.
Bhagyashree Girl Child Welfare Insurance Company works only for girls. Under this scheme, grants or scholarships can also be used to pay the premium for the insurance policy.
The amount given under the scheme will be sent directly to the girl’s account.
If the girl gets married before completing 18 years of age. Then the girl will have to give up both the scholarship and the interest received.
In any case, if the girl dies before completing the age of 18 years. In this situation, the available amount can be withdrawn from the girl’s account. But if the girl dies after completing 18 years of age then this amount cannot be withdrawn.

Eligibility to apply under Balika Samridhi Yojana 2024

Only those girls who were born in India before the session 1997 can apply for this scheme and get benefits.
avail the benefits of Balika Samridhu Yojana, the applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
Under this scheme, only female students from families living below the poverty line will be benefited.
To apply for Balika Samridhi Yojana, the total annual income of the family mustn’t exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
Only two daughters of an Indian family will get the opportunity to benefit from this scheme.
