The main objective of this scheme is to provide free treatment to the people deprived of the Ayushman Card Scheme of the Central Government.
Under this scheme, the Bihar government will provide health insurance of Rs 5 lakh to about 58 lakh families (which are deprived of the Ayushman card scheme).
All ration card holders of Bihar will be given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year.
There are many families in Bihar whose financial condition is so weak that they are not able to even get treatment for themselves and their families, and lose their loved ones forever.
