What is Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2024?

Griha Lakshmi Yojana aims to support women like housewives, landless women and female agricultural workers by providing financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Starting August 16, 2023, beneficiaries will receive ₹2,000 monthly directly into their bank accounts.

Who is eligible for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2024?

To apply in the scheme, you have to fulfill some necessary eligibility criteria, which are as follows:-

Women registered as the head of the family on the Antyodaya, BPL and APL ration cards issued by the government will get the benefit of this scheme.
Women can get their name registered as the head in their ration card so that they are eligible for the scheme.
Only one woman from each family will get this benefit.
Women who are government employees or taxpayers are not eligible for this scheme.
If a woman’s husband pays income tax or submits GST returns, then he will not be able to avail the benefit of the family scheme.
