Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started this Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana with the aim of providing clean fuel and a better life to India. Under this scheme, women are given free gas connection, as well as their first cylinder is also filled for free. The government allocated funds for Ujjwala Yojana 2024-

The government has set a budget of Rs 1650 crore for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0. The aim of this scheme is to provide free gas connections to 75 million women across the country. The central government will bear the entire cost of this scheme.

Apart from this, the central government has also reduced the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 200 to give relief to the people of its country from inflation. Women applying in this scheme will get a total discount of Rs 400 per cylinder, which will make this cylinder even more affordable for them.

Who is Eligible for PM Ujjwala Yojana?

The family of the applicant woman should be a BPL holder.
There should not be any LPG connection in the woman’s house itself.
